Madame Fanadi
Template:Character Madame Fanadi is a fortune teller in Twilight Princess.
Biography
Madame Fanadi lives in Hyrule Castle Town in her fortune-telling mansion, and tells Link his fortune - either "Career" or "Love" - for just 10 Rupees. Choosing "Career" fortune will make Fanadi reveal how to advance in the game; while selecting the "Love" fortune will lead the fortune-teller to show Link the location of an unclaimed Piece of Heart. Whenever she tells Link his fortune, she chants her "magical words," which are actually just English sentences written backwards.
- For Love: "elihwa sekat gnidaol tiaw," which translates to "wait loading takes awhile" backwards.
- For Career: "tuoba gniklat I ma tahw," which translates to "what am I talking about" backwards.
The Eye Symbol of the Sheikah on Madame Fanadi's forehead and her red eyes imply that she is one of the few surviving members of the mysterious and dwindling tribe by the time of Twilight Princess. Similarly, Impa from Skyward Sword also has the familiar eye symbol tattooed on her forehead.
Trivia
- Her name consists of the first two letters of the names of the three Golden Goddesses: Farore, Nayru, and Din.
- Fanadi, like Telma and Agitha, has three colored dots of makeup painted under her eyes: red, purple, and green. Fanadi is thought to be a reference to the Sheikah (purple), while Agitha is thought of be a reference to the Kokiri (green) and Telma to the Gerudo (red).[according to whom?]
- Using Action Replay codes to enter her shop as a wolf, she will say, "Ohhhhh... something strange wanders this waaaaay.... If you waaant the attentioon of people in town, you must become huuuuman."
