Malmord is the fourth boss in Zelda's Adventure.[1] She is the Shrine Keeper of the Shrine of Destiny.[2]

She resembles a Grim Reaper carrying a large scythe. She claims to have control over destiny and Princess Zelda's fate.[3][1]

Characteristics

Malmord attacks by melting into the shadows and moving around the boss room. She will briefly reappear for a few seconds before disappearing into the shadows again, and can only be attacked during this brief moment that she is solid. As Malmord has no real weaknesses, the Wand is an option in fighting her.

Malmord is fought a second time in the Vision Henge when Ganon summons the Shrine Keepers to fight Zelda on her way to the final showdown. Unlike the other Shrine Keepers in the Vision Henge, Malmord is fought much differently than in the original fight. She will stand still in the center the room, and transform into a swarm of Dragonflies the moment she is attacked. These Dragonflies must all be defeated to proceed. They are notably the only enemies inside the henge that will drop Hearts.
