Extreme Temperatures are a recurring mechanic in The Legend of Zelda series.(TotK)[1] Extreme Temperatures go unnamed in Breath of the Wild.

Extreme Temperatures are Temperatures high or low enough to cause Link constant damage when affected by them. In Freezing Climates, the Temperature gauge freezes over, whereas the Temperature gauge is set aflame in Scorching Climates. Extreme Temperatures are also present in Extremely Hot Zones.

Tears of the Kingdom



Due to the changes in its Weather after the Upheaval, Gerudo Canyon is affected by Extreme Temperatures during both day and night.[1] Horses are unable to tolerate the Extreme Temperatures within.[1]
