Mimos is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series.[2][3]
Biography
Breath of the Wild
Mimos is a Hylian who can be encountered on Ebon Mountain. He constantly wanders around the broken-hearted pond at its peak.
When Link first approaches to Mimos, he asks if he is also searching for his soulmate.[4] If Link responds that he is, Mimos reveals that he shares the same goal.[5] Alternatively, if Link acts confused, Mimos tells him not to be shy, since this is the only reason anyone would climb Ebon Mountain.[6] Mimos himself has been waiting on the Mountain for a while.[7] Despite how Link answers, Mimos reveals that nobody else has shown up yet.[8] He believes he is at Lover's Pond, but he wonders if he could be at the wrong place.[9]
If Link speaks to Mimos again, he asks where his soulmate is, and he theorizes that his loneliness may be a sign to put himself out there more.[10] Should Link tell Mimos to believe in himself, Mimos thinks that Link is trying to cheer him up.[11] He says that Link should not worry about him, as his mother always said that he could do anything he puts his mind to.[1] He then asks about Link, stating that putting all of one's faith in a legend will not attract women.[12] If Link tells Mimos to try another pond, Mimos asks if he truly thinks that will help.[13]
While it is Raining, Mimos will remark that Link must be desperate for love, since he came out in such bad Weather.[14]
