Biography
Monte is a Hylian who has been tasked with guarding the entrance to the Emergency Shelter in Lookout Landing.[2] He carries a Traveler's Spear.
When Link first enters the Emergency Shelter, Monte will welcome him and introduce himself.[3][4] If Link asks him about the Emergency Shelter, Monte explains that it was previously used by the Royal Family of Hyrule as a place to hide.[5] Now that it is being used by the residents of Lookout Landing, they have been fixing it up and stockpiling supplies, and Monte considers it to be cozy.[6] If Link asks about Monte, he explains that it his job to open and shut the entrance to the Emergency Shelter.[2] At the end of their conversation, Monte advises that Link be careful when Climbing the Shelter's Ladder, musing that it would be easier to navigate Lookout Landing if one could Ascend through the ceiling.[7]
