Sky Watchers are enemies in Skyward Sword.[1] Along with the Earth Watchers and Earth Guardians, they patrol and protect the Silent Realm.

Characteristics

Fi's Commenthide ▲
Fi says:

Two types of Watchers patrol the realm, looking for intruders. I highly suggest you take caution.

So long as you do not step into their light, you will remain undetected by flying Sky Watchers.

However, the Earth Watchers, who hover near the ground, will give chase if you come too close to them, so stay alert and maintain a safe distance.

Sky Watchers, along with the similar Earth Watchers, are the two variations of Watcher that protect the Silent Realm. Unlike the Earth Guardians, the Sky Watchers are not affected by the Sacred Tears. The Sky Watchers fly through the Silent Realm in a set path while shining a beam of light from the lanterns they carry. If Link touches this light, the Sky Watcher will emit a loud shriek that will awaken and alert the Earth Guardians to Links' location, removing the effects of the Sacred Tears no matter how much time Link has remaining.

Sky Watchers are very similar to Earth Watchers, but unlike the Earth Watchers, Sky Watchers will not chase Link if he gets close to one. While Earth Watchers patrol the ground and float near it, Sky Watchers patrol the sky and fly higher up.
