Windfish, Jabu jabu, Jabun, and Oceus

Is it fair to theorize that Levias may be/ be related to the Windfish, Jabu jabu, Jabun, and/or Oceus? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cubish 08:17, November 27, 2011

I don't really see a connection aside from the fact that they are all whales and most are confirmed to be deities. For now, you can add that as a piece of trivia on their articles. As a fan, you're allowed to theorize about anything you want, but if you want it to be added to the wiki, you'll have to support your claim with evidence and discuss it on a forum first, such as one of our Masterminds' forums. If the theory is accepted widely accepted there, then you may be able add it to the wiki in a "Theory" section. — Abdullah [T] [C] [S]  09:30, 27 November 2011 (EST)

Oshus is a flying whale?

Since when? If anything, Oshus is more like Jabu Jabu and Jabun.Dekler 01:02, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Uh...Jabu Jabu and Jabun are both whales. Unless you'd consider them something different (in which case, what WOULD you call them?)User:Justin ZW/sig 02:47, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
Not a flying whale, that's for sure. Dekler 23:59, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
OH, gotcha. Yeah, as far as I know he doesn't fly...of course I haven't beaten PH in awhile. I'll have to check out the ending scene again.User:Justin ZW/sig 01:41, 13 December 2012 (UTC)

Fish?

Levias is a fish? I noticed that Levias is in the Category:Fish and the Category:Fish Enemies. Is this really appropriate? Should Levias be removed from the aforementioned categories, or maybe the categories could be renamed Fish and Cetaceans and Fish and Cetacean Enemies? Any thoughts? The categories are automatically added by Template:FishEnemy. I don't think it's worth renaming the whole category for just one entry. I would suggest moving Levias to Template:MammalianEnemy or just leave it as is. For what it's worth, we've seen Nintendo call a flying whale "Wind Fish" before.
For future reference, when linking to categories (and files), you have to place a colon after the opening brackets (e.g. [[:Category:Fish]] to link to Category:Fish) or else it just categorizes the talk page and doesn't display anything. — Hylian King [*] 04:36, 25 October 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well, technically, all mammals are a clade of fish. Just like all amphibians are fish, and all reptiles are amphibians, and all mammals and dinosaurs are reptiles, and all birds are dinosaurs, and all Ritos are Zoras. Paraphyly tends to exclude mammals from being commonly considered fish. But the fact that fish and cetaceans swim is more a matter of convergent evolution to a particular habitat. It would be better to say they're both aquatic, as are Zoras, Toadpolis, Big Octos and certain Octoroks. - Dermot Mac Flannchaidh (talk) 06:07, 6 May 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Pronunciation

Me and my friend (who's name on the wiki is Link4life,) have been arguing on how to pronounce Levias. I believe it's pronounced "Leh-vee-iss", but he thinks it's "Leh-vie-iss". Some people I don't know personally even think it's "Lee-vee-iss". Does anyone have an official pronunciation? (On an off-topic note, I have the same problem with Jabun. "Jah-bunn"? "Jah-bune?") — ᏒᎬᎠᎬᎪᎠ64 21:51, 30 April 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Leh-vie-iss is more likely, as it's based on the Leviathan (/lɨˈvaɪ.əθən/).KrytenKoro (talk) 19:10, 3 May 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Due to a lack of voice acting in the Zelda series, there is no "official" pronunciation for practically anything. So the answer is no. But KrytenKoro's prounciation is probably correct. Champion of Nayru (talk) 20:21, 5 May 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]
