Is this necessary? --Norrvegr (talk | contribs) 17:01, 7 September 2012 (EDT)

Absolutely! It is used on several of the wiki's most important templates, including Template:Cite and Template:FileInfo. It's what allows us to type a game's acronym in template fields. — Hylian King [*] 17:15, 7 September 2012 (EDT)

OoT 3D

Is Ocarina of Time used for Ocarina of Time 3D? Or is there one that I'm just not seeing? —Darkness(Talk) 00:55, 29 November 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Oops. I guess the answer is there's one I'm just not seeing.. —Darkness(Talk) 00:57, 29 November 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Tingle's Balloon Fight

While using the FileInfo template, I used the TBF abbreviation in the Game field. The text appeared as

Game: 130px This is a file from Tingle's Balloon Fight DS.

In the Game field. Is the coding for this particular section incomplete? —Darkness(Talk) 02:49, 6 January 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The issue was actually with {{Logo}}, which wasn't set up for Tingle's Balloon Fight DS or Too Much Tingle Pack (although this template wasn't set up for Too Much Tingle Pack either). Both have now been fixed. --SnorlaxMonster 04:37, 6 January 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Is Zelda Barcode Battler the same as Barcode Battler 2? The second is creating tons of red links. —Darkness(Talk) 12:18, 11 February 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It's an extension of Barcode Battler 2. I made a redirect for now. — Hylian King [*] 12:20, 11 February 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

And... Game & Watch Zelda should be changed to Zelda (Game & Watch)... I'd do it myself, but I'd probably mess it up like I did with Template:Logo earlier today... —Darkness(Talk) 16:03, 28 February 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Done. I left it to show "Game & Watch Zelda" but it now links to the right place. — Hylian King [*] 23:37, 28 February 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
PS: Template:Logo uses Template:Zelda so the latter has to be changed first. Just so you know. :)
PPS: Logo template didn't have to be changed in this case anyway. :P

Since Template:Update broke, I found the issue in this VERY IMPORTANT template, so I'm asking first

So, I was investigating Template:Update first and eventually found the behavior of the Switch was incorrect.

So I went over to this template and did ctrl+f for "| =" and so we can see the issue here: http://zeldawiki.org/index.php?title=Template%3AZelda&diff=457570&oldid=444417 (linked there for archival purposes)

So, just need to change:

tphd | = The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD

to

tphd = The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD

? --KokoroSenshi 01:49, 13 December 2015 (UTC)

Well, I changed it, and also fixed the typo in the table (TPD->TPHD)

Data:Franchise

This template should eventually leverage Module:Franchise in some way. When there's a new game, Data:Franchise is the only thing we should have to edit to make templates work.

It's uncertain to me whether this template (or new templates) should wrap the module, or whether we should just scrap this template altogether and have the dependent templates use Module:Franchise directly.

I was planning to work this one out myself but it doesn't look like I'll be getting around to it, so I'm brain-dumping here instead. PhantomCaleb (talk) 13:13, 22 November 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
