Swiftblade is a denizen of Hyrule Town in The Minish Cap. He is the eldest of the Blade Brothers. He lives in the dojo at Castle Town, and is the main master throughout the game. While other Dojos only have one skill to teach, he has four which are unlocked upon gaining more items and abilities. These techniques can be reviewed in the Tiger Scrolls.

Along with teaching new techniques, he also writes 'The Swordsman Newsletter', after fusing Kinstones with the right person.

He is a member of the Blade Brothers, a group of warriors scattered throughout Hyrule. And each one has -blade in the end of the name, for example: Grayblade. Every one of them has won a fighting tournament once. The ghost of Swiftblade the First is Swiftblade's oldest ancestor.

The four skills which Swiftblade teaches are:
