"The Group" in Telma's Bar

"The Group," sometimes called the Adventurers' Guild or the Resistance, is a cadre of vigilantes centered in Telma's Bar of Castle Town. They are covertly working to restore peace in Hyrule in Twilight Princess. "The Group" includes Telma, Auru, Ashei and Shad. Rusl has also been a member for some time, and he decided to seek them out after recovering from the attack on Ordon Village.

If Link enters the bar after taking Telma to Kakariko Village, "The Group" will be inside, but will treat him harshly.[1][2] Later, when Link has been cursed and must traverse the loft of the bar, they can be overheard talking about him and considering apologizing.[3] When Link next meets them, they will apologize to him for their behavior.[4][5]

Once Link returns to meet them, each of the members of "The Group" will help him locate a different piece of the Mirror of Twilight. Auru will be at Lake Hylia, and will help Link gain access to the Gerudo Desert and, to an extent, the Arbiter's Grounds. Ashei helped the hero track down the Yetis of Snowpeak, so that he may go to the next dungeon, Snowpeak Ruins. Rusl lends him the Golden Cucco, in order for human Link to make it across the chasm that separates the Lost Woods with Faron Woods. Shad seeks out the secret of the Owl Statues around Hyrule, and indirectly leads Link to repowering the Dominion Rod, as well as locating the Sky Cannon.

When Link enters Hyrule Castle, "The Group" assists him by saving him from a near death experience, and later drawing attention to themselves and away from Link so that he can reach Ganondorf with minimal resistance.
