Although she is a bit delusional, she is very kind and caring. She is one of the few characters that isn't afraid of [[Wolf Link]], but rather, she asks if he would like to play with her, because she thinks he is a puppy; amusingly, she apologizes for not being able to "speak puppy", indicating she thinks that Wolf Link wants to tell her something. Agitha is a little girl of about 10 years old[1] who lives in her castle in Castle Town. She pretends to be a princess of the insect kingdom living in her own little castle house. She sent out invitations to the Golden Bugs to come to her ball. There are twelve types of bugs, each having a male and female for 24 bugs total. She believes that they have each gotten lost on their way, so Link must find all 24 bugs for her. For each bug Link gives her, she gives him 50 rupees. For each time he makes a pair, she gives him 100 rupees. When Link gives her the first bug, she gives him the Big Wallet. After taking all 24 bugs to Agitha, Link receives the Giant Wallet, which is apparently a symbol of a distinguished member of the bug kingdom. If Link leaves her castle when he still has golden bugs to give her, she will whisper "I know you have bugs..." accompanied by a low growl.

Although she is a bit delusional, she is very kind and caring. She is one of the few characters that isn't afraid of Wolf Link, but rather, she asks if he would like to play with her, because she thinks he is a puppy; amusingly, she apologizes for not being able to "speak puppy", indicating she thinks that Wolf Link wants to tell her something. Sometimes she likes to talk in third person. She can be found outside the southern gates of Hyrule Castle Town during the daytime before Link has brought her all 24 bugs; she states she is looking for bugs in the flowers. This is the only time she carries her trademark parasol and basket. If Link speaks to her around sunset when she is walking back to the city, she says she is heading home and if Link wants to talk to her, he should come visit her at her "posh" castle.

Trivia

  • Agitha has a pendant around her neck resembling the Pendant of Memories from Majora's Mask (which also resembled a bug).
  • Another possible reference to Majora's Mask takes place when Agitha and Link met for the first time. She thought Link was a "Giant Grasshopper", and in Majora's Mask, Romani gave him the nickname of "Grasshopper". In addition, Romani will normally speak in third person, which Agitha does sometimes as well.
  • If Link wears the Zora Armor the first time he meets Agitha she will think he is a jewel beetle.
  • Agitha's basket has two bottles in it, which is odd because despite the fact the games treats bottles as an important part of Hylian life (as many shops sell things which require a bottle) Link is usually the only one that is actually seen using them.
  • Agitha's clothes are of the "gothic lolita" fashion style, which is a popular style in Japan and fans of Japanese culture.
  • Agitha's Japanese name, Ageha, is derived from the Japanese word for a swallowtail butterfly.
  • Agitha is sometimes thought of as a throwback to the Kokiri, as she is a child living without an adult and has a tree inside her home. This is similar to how Telma is thought of a reference to the Gerudo and Madame Fanadi to the Sheikah. The three all wear three dots of makeup under their eyes, red, blue, and green (likely a symbol to the Goddesses, who are symbolized by these colors).
