Template:Character The Shipyard Worker, also referred to as the Shipyard Man, is a character in Phantom Hourglass. Just like the Bridge Worker in Spirit Tracks his title operates as a satisfactory description of his mainstream work in the absense of an actual name.

Appearences

Phantom Hourglass

In Phantom Hourglass, the Shipyard Worker works in the Shipyard on Mercay Island.[1] In the Shipyard, Link can go to costumize the S.S. Linebeck with the different Ship Parts he has collected throughout his journey.[1] If Link accidentally manages not to prevent the Salvage Arm from taking damage, he can visit the Shipyard to have it repaired by the Shipyard Worker. If the Salvage Arm's life gauge runs empty it is declared broken, and can't be used unless Link has it repaired. The Shipyard Worker won't work for free, he can charge up to 100 Rupees for repairing it. The price corresponds to the damage.[2]

Spirit Tracks

The Bridge Worker's Home. The Shipyard Worker is featured on the portrait to the right.

In the Bridge Worker's Home in the Snow Realm in Spirit Tracks, there is a portrait of him on the right side of the room. This, and the fact that he and the Bridge Worker looks stunningly similar suggests that they are related. Fans take it as a given fact that these two are related, and it wouldn't really surprise anyone if it became official. Descendants with similar character design to their (implied) ancestors from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and or Phantom Hourglass are typical for Spirit Tracks. An example is Gonzo from both The Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass and his descendent Alfonzo in Spirit Tracks.[3]
