Shrines of Death are objects in Cadence of Hyrule.[1] They were introduced as part of the Octavo's Ode Downloadable Content update.

Location and Uses

Shrines of Death appear in Dungeons in both Dungeon Mode and Octavo's Ode. When interacted with, Shrines of Death causes the character and all enemies, including the boss, to be instantly killed by any damage taken. This includes attacks by the character, by other enemies such as Moblins and by traps. If a character has a Health Potion or a Fairy, any damage taken will automatically consume the item. The effects of Shrines of Death last until the Dungeon is left, the Dungeon Boss is defeated, or the affected character falls in battle.[2]

Gohmaracas will instead instantly progress to its second phase upon being hit once, and a second hit will defeat the boss. Red Puffstools will be instantly killed when hit and will not explode.

When destroyed, the shrine drops a Ring of Risk.
