Location and Uses

Link's Awakening for Nintendo Switch

In Link's Awakening for Nintendo Switch, Green Apples are found growing on certain Trees scattered on the Overworld of Koholint Island. Link can perform a Dash Attack into these Trees to make them fall on the ground. He can then pick them up and eat them to restore some Hearts.Template:How many

A Link Between Worlds

In A Link Between Worlds, Green Apples restore three Hearts instead of one like regular Apples. Green Apples grow on the same Trees as regular Apples do, most notably on the StreetPass Tree near Link's House, only they're rarer. Despite having superior health recovery properties, Green Apples are stated to have inferior taste compared to their red counterparts.[2]

StreetPass challenges consider Green Apples an upgraded version of Apples, thus, using a Green Apple in a Shadow Link Battle yields a Medal for the Apple as well as for the Green Apple.
