Bipin is a character in the Template:OoX. He is a tree planter who is knowledgeable about Gasha Seeds.[1][2] Bipin lives in Lynna City (in Oracle of Ages) and Horon Village (in Oracle of Seasons) with his wife, Blossom, and their newborn son, whose name is chosen by Link.[3]

Role

Bipin is the first character to introduce Gasha Seeds and their use to Link. At the beginning of the game, Link helps the arborist by naming their son.[3] As Link continues to help raise his son throughout the game, Bipin will offer advice concerning Gasha Trees and their nuts and seeds.[4] Bipin is either seen with his family in their living quarters, or, when all is well with his son, on the east side of his house tending to his indoor Gasha farm.

Once a game is completed, Bipin and his family move to the next one, where they will meet Link again in the Linked Game.[5] In Oracle of Ages, Bipin and his family reside in a house in the northern part of Lynna City; after the game's completion, they move into a house in southwestern Horon Village in Holodrum (or vice-versa),[6] where their son continues to grow up and eventually becomes an adult. Their home is identical in both games.

Advice

Bipin gives Link the following information about Gasha Seeds:

  • "The place, planter and the planter's deeds affect what the nut produces."
  • "The contents of a Gasha Nut depend on where the seed was planted."
  • "Inside a Gasha Nut? More than anything, you find Magic Rings, but sometimes you find Rupees or Hearts."
  • "Finding new places to plant Gasha Seeds and finding secret stairways seems to be good for Gasha Nuts. And helping those in need is good for Gasha Nuts."
  • "My experience holds that planting Gasha Seeds in strange spots produces more rare and unusual results!"
  • "A traveler once told me the time it takes for a planted Gasha Seed to mature into a tree is related to how many monsters you slay. Could this be true?"
