Big Bot, also known as Giant Bot or Boss Bot, is an enemy featured in The Adventure of Link and Link's Awakening.
Appearances
The Adventure of Link
In Link's Awakening, a Big Bot is a large Bot which is composed of and splits into five blue Bots when hurt. Like the Bots it comprises of, the Big Bot hops around its territory in the Great Palace.
As the Bots the Big Bot splits into are just average Bots, they are easily taken care of. However, the Big Bot awards no experience, and also takes no beam damage.
Link's Awakening
In Link's Awakening, the Nightmare first form during the boss battle is a Giant Bot, which is, in essence, a Shadow Bot. The Giant Bot is the easiest and least demanding form of the set; if Link simply sprinkles Magic Powder on it three times, it will morph into its next form. When Link also uses the Magic Powder on the Giant Buzz Blob mini-boss of the Color Dungeon in Link's Awakening DX, it turns into a form that resembles the Big Bot.
