The Drenan Highlands are a location in Breath of the Wild.[1]

Features and Overview

The Drenan Highlands are a stretch of land along the western range of the Eldin Mountains. They lie at the northern flank of Hyrule at the Mountains' base. The Highlands may be entered through a passage in the western Mountains, which lies at the northern road between the Hebra Mountains and Great Hyrule Forest.

The Drenan Highlands shares its landscape with the Deplian Badlands further east, in that it is largely barren and has rugged terrain. Very little vegetation grow here aside for a few patches of grass, flowers, and shrubs; the latter of which can be cut down to produce Tree Branches. In spite of its scarce landscape, the Highlands, along with the entire Eldin Mountains stretch, is home to numerous Creatures.

Most of the Highlands' greenery is condensed in its core, where a small meadow lies. To the east of the meadow is a dirt path lined by several stone monuments. The path leads to the entrance of the Typhlo Ruins in the Great Hyrule Forest. A small wood south of this pathway bears a fallen log, which hides a nut at one end. Destroying the nut will reveal a Korok. Along the cliffside east of the Lynel prowling the Highlands, Link can find an orange Pinwheel. Upon approaching the Pinwheel, three Balloons will spawn and fly around. Destroying the Balloons will reveal a Korok, who will give Link a Korok Seed for finding him.[2]
