The Four Sword has made its apperance in three games now, (Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures, The Minish Cap) making it one of the most known weapons/items in recent Legend of Zelda history.

The Four Sword has the ability to split the wielder into four copies, making it possible to move larger stones out of the way, or hit several switches simultaneously.

The Four Sword was created from the broken Picori Blade and reforged by a Minish smith called Melari. It was then infused with the Four Elements - Fire, Water, Earth and Wind - by the young boy Link.

To clear things up: Picori Blade -> Melari's Sword -> White Sword -> Empowered White Sword -> Four Sword
