King Bulblin is a new villain in Twilight Princess. He makes his first appearance in Ordon Village. He is the one who shatters the peaceful life of Link. He invades the Ordona Province to clear the way for a Twilight portal to appear over the Ordon Spring. He kidnaps the children of the village, but they manage to escape to Kakariko Village. He later kidnaps Colin and escapes to the center of the Eldin Province, where a horseback battle takes place. Link must chase after him and slash off his armor while Bulblin's legion of monsters chases him on boar. After slicing off all of his armor, the king retreats to the Bridge of Eldin, where he rides Lord Bullbo against Link in a jousting battle. Link must charge toward him, dodge, and attack. After awhile, Bulblin is flung off the bridge, but survives.

After the battle, he is fought again at the Great Bridge of Hylia. He is fought this time by shooting arrows into the weak spots in his armor. Before the level Arbiter's Grounds, you engage in a sword duel with him in a Bulblin camp, and when he is defeated, he sets the grounds on fire.

He is later the mini-boss of Hyrule Castle. After defeating him in the East Courtyard of Hyrule Castle, he will give up and accept defeat, talking to you for the first and last time and telling you that he will always follow the strongest. Midna is dumbstruck that he can even talk at all.
