The Vessel is an object from Spirit Tracks.

Location and Uses

After obtaining the Trusty Freight Car from Kagoron in Goron Village, Link can go speak to the Wise One in Papuchia Village and tell her that he's been having bad luck. She will offer Link a vessel for 300 Rupees, and if the young hero buys it, he must take it to the Snow Sanctuary and talk to Steem. However, he must not get hit at all while riding the Spirit Train, otherwise the vessel will break and Link must start over and get another vessel.

Upon arriving, Steem will be so glad to have something to decorate the sanctuary with that he will reward the young hero with a Force Gem.[1]

Trivia

After Steem places the vessel in the sanctuary, Link can break it with his sword. If Link breaks the vessel with his sword, Steem will be shocked and demand a new one.[2][3] When Link speaks to Princess Zelda before boarding the train to leave, she suggests that they replace the vessel in order to "make it up to him".[4] Link can buy another vessel from the Wise One and return it to the sanctuary, at which point Steem will reward Link for his thoughtfulness by with a treasure.[5]
