Guide

Here, users can nominate and vote for Zelda Wiki's next featured article. Any article worthy of being featured exemplifies the Wiki's quality standards, and goes above and beyond what is expected in a normal encyclopedia entry. Featured articles should:

  1. Have exceptionally fluid American English grammar and spelling.
  2. Be lengthy, yet detailed.
  3. Be well organized (as in subdivisions).
  4. Cite sources, and cite them properly.
  5. Be properly categorized.
  6. Contain the most up-to-date information possible.
  7. Have no template requesting improvement, merging, deletion, or any template that may in some way state the article is not of excellent quality. In this respect, there should be no duplicate of the nominated article, nor should the article be a duplicate of another page.
  8. NOT be copied from Wikipedia, or from any site that does not run the Wiki, under any circumstances!

For help on the correct format used to add nominations or votes, see the Featured Content Help.

Rules:
Scoring and conditions for passing a nomination:

  1. All nominations start with an initial score of zero.
  2. A supporting vote adds 1 to the score.
  3. An opposing vote subtracts 1 from the score.
  4. An article needs to achieve a score of +5 within 4 months of the nomination date in order to be featured.
  5. A nomination automatically fails if the score drops to -3.

Voting:

  1. You may only vote once on any particular article.
  2. You may not vote on any articles you have nominated.
  3. Votes should be added beneath the relevant header (either support or opposition), with # at the beginning of the line. The current score must be updated to reflect this new vote.
  4. Supporting votes should include a brief message stating why the article should be featured.
  5. Opposing votes must specify how the article fails to meet one or more of the qualifying criteria described above.
  6. All votes MUST be signed using ~~~~ If you do not sign, your vote WILL NOT be counted!

Four Sword

File:FourSword Artwork.png

Like most of the major weapons and items in the series, the Four Sword page has received an outstanding article. With amazing amounts of information, great image usage and plenty of references, I for one say this page is now worthy of featuring.ZENOX T C 11:01, 21 November 2010 (EST)

  1. The information, as said above, is fantastic, well written, interesting, and full of a lot of knowledge on the subject. There was a lot of things in the article that I found that interested me and helped clear any confusion I had on the subject. DEFINATELY deserves to be featured. - AtrumLevis  (My Talk Page) (My Contributions) 12:38, 1 December 2010 (EST)
  2. The information is very in-depth and interesting. The article is a good length for the topic. It gives all the information needed and more. This article definitely deserves to be featured. Danton12396 16:39, 1 December 2010 (EST)
  3. I think this article is definitely well-written.PURLOS GRANDFATHER 18:21, 21 January 2011 (EST)
  4. This article is truly one of the more impressive one here on Zelda Wiki. Extensive information covering all possible questions one might have, combined with excellent image use make this article a legend in itself. --HyperLink12 19:24, 23 July 2011 (EDT)
  5. This article is very well written and clearly explains the role the Four Sword plays in the plot of each game it is featured in.Vulpix001 16:37, 27 July 2011 (EDT)

  1. I think the four sword has great design and cool powers. I mean, what other item can turn Link into 4 copies of himself? Besides, it is the main weapon in one of my favorite zelda games, the minish cap. Four Swords is also good, but I like mc better. Therefore, I nominate this article. Personal like has nothing to do with the article in question.User:Mandi/sig 01:02, January 12, 2011 (UTC)

River Zora

File:Zola.png

This page was refreshing for me. It's an older enemy that got limited exposure in the series. I thought the article was well-fleshed out and in-depth for such unpopular enemy. It has plenty of references, lots of details, a pleasing layout, everything you'd want in an article.User:Matt/sig 02:33, February 16, 2011 (UTC)

  1. I don't really know, it looks pretty messy to me. The page certainly has enough information, and quite a few references, but image usage especially makes the page seem just ... I don't know, umm ... messy is still the best term I can think of. Especially the trivia section. Just a bit of cleaning and it has my vote. ZENOX T C 22:16, 17 February 2011 (EST)
  2. As I have already voted "for" Hyrule Castle this month, I'll just say that it is a good article, but I would recommend losing the trivia section if you wish it to have a real chance at being featured. Vyselink
  3. The article is well written, and well-sourced. My only gripe is that it is perhaps the longest "common enemy" article, and it is not yet harmonized with the other "common enemy" articles that have, for the most part, taken on a similar layout. Once this is done, I think this'll be prime for featuring. — ciprianotalk 00:13, 14 March 2011 (EDT)

1. This picture just does not look good. I agree with Zenox. It is really messy. I hate that enemy anyway(Not that my opinion on the enemy itself matters.). TriforceSlash 12:24, 19 April 2011 (EDT) (this is about an article not a picture)'User:Mandi/sig 19:40, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

Kakariko Village

File:Kakarikovillageoot.jpg

I expected less when I went to this article. I was surprised with the amount of detail it has. It's not the largest article, but it doesn't need to be. It is large enough to describe the village wonderfully and it has plenty of essential references. Reading it certainly stirs many memories.User:Matt/sig 02:33, February 16, 2011 (UTC)

Hyrule Castle

Hyrule Castle TP Artwork.jpg

A staple of just about any Zelda game, always beautiful, the article is no exception. It covers all the appearances of the castle. It goes into detail but doesn't go so far as to dull you out halfway through. You're engaged in reading it the whole way. And the ample supply of images makes it easier on the eyes to get through the whole thing. It, of course, has a lot of references to support it, making it that much better. Also, a rare treat, the gallery at the bottom has many beautiful views of various incarnations of the castle.User:Matt/sig 02:33, February 16, 2011 (UTC)

  1. I'll go for this one. Plenty of references, nicely written AND lots of visual aid with the images. 8D Dany36 22:51, 15 February 2011 (EST)
  2. I'll support as well. It is a fantastic article, well written with great pictures. Vyselink 21 February 2011
  3. This article has incredible depth and detail, impeccable grammar and syntax, and above all an abundance of high quality images. The placing of some images makes for somewhat of a lack of visual text flow, but overall its a very good read and definitely worthy of Featured status. — Hylian King [*] 08:29, 22 February 2011 (EST)
  4. What more can I say that hasn't already been said. Zelda4life 20:11, 18 March 2011 (EDT)
  5. This article references ALL appearances of Hyrule Castle in depth, covering a broad topic well and fluently. Alibi 18:42, 9 May 2011
  6. This would be a very wonderful article to be shown on the Featured Article on the main page. Hyrule Castle defines many things, such as the Hylian Family and the Hero of Time/Link, the impending dangers it usually faces, and how it shows the rule of Hyrule, and it's other neighbours, depending on whatever game it appears in. Chuchu

File:Chuchu.png

One of the greatest enemies in the Zelda series. The article is neat, detailed, descriptive, and not one chuchu is discluded. It encourages you to read the whole article. Very cute, and it deserves to be featured. --Masked Kafei 20:31, 3 May 2011 (EDT)

Bow

File:MM HerosBow.png

As one of the usual handful of items and equipment in the Zelda series, and to Link, as he almost and always has in his inventory, this item is rather important as a tool and weapon throughout all of his adventure, as this article is very nicely detailed and described rather throughly, maybe short, but it's to the point of what it's to be and of it's use in the series with its upgrades. ~ Hylian Historic ~ 02:18, 10 June 2011 (EDT)

  1. The article is alright, but isn't outstanding like a Featured Article should be. The article somewhat lacks neutrality. Although it may have potential, I think I can quite definitely say that it doesn't belong up there with the Featured Articles yet. — Hylian King [*] 20:43, 12 June 2011 (EDT)

  1. I think the point of Featured Articles is being missed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but what makes an article feature worthy doesn't come from its importance to the series. There are better ones that should be featured *cough* Hyrule Castle *cough* but I'm staying neutral. Zelda4life 23:17, 24 June 2011 (EDT)

  1. this article should be the fetured article because not only in almost every game but it's effective against most enimies --Ruchq 17:43, 24 June 2011 (EDT)ruchq
