Dark Ghini are recurring Enemies in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]

Characteristics

A Link Between Worlds

In A Link Between Worlds, Dark Ghini appear in the pitch-dark corridors of the Dark Palace. Colored black with a red eye, they act as the inverse of the Light Ghini, being fully visible when surrounded by darkness but vanishing when they approach Link or any sources of light. Dark Ghini move in small circular patterns and can be attacked regardless if they are visible or not. Both types of Ghini also appear in the Treacherous Tower on floor 32 of the "Advanced" level.

Tri Force Heroes

Dark Ghini return in Tri Force Heroes with slightly different behaviors. Encountered in the second Stage of Palace Noir, they are fully visible when surrounded by darkness but vanish when they approach any sources of light. Once they spot one of the Links, they begin to give chase while remaining visible. If the Link escapes the Dark Ghini or strikes it with his Sword or an Arrow, it will quickly turn away and vanish, then reappear in a different position.
