"Uma's Garden" is a Side Quest in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]

Overview

At the end of the "Teach Me a Lesson II" Side Quest, Symin gives Link permission to cultivate crops in the School's Field.[2] At the Field, Link will find Uma tending to it.[3] When Link approaches her, she reveals that Symin has already spoken to her about planting whatever Link wants and she has already finished preparing the Field.[4] Uma claims she is capable of a variety of Fruits and Veggies by extracting seeds from them.[5] However, she is inexperienced in raising Endura Carrots and Hearty Radishes, and such harvests may have a lower yield than other crops.[6] At this point, the "Uma's Garden" Side Quest will begin.

Uma then asks Link which crop he would like to grow.[7] So long as Link has their grown counterparts, Link can ask Uma to plant Hylian Tomatoes, Wildberries, Hydromelons, Big Hearty Radishes, Hearty Radishes, Endura Carrots, Fortified Pumpkins, Sun Pumpkins, Swift Carrots, Hylian Rice, and Tabantha Wheat.[8][9] Once Link makes his choice, Uma will take one of the crops from his Inventory.[10] She explains that she will be unable to return it to him, but she can change out what she is growing if he wants something else instead.[11] She also asks Link allow her to witness his first harvest.[12] Lastly, Uma informs Link that it will take some time before his crops are ready, and sleeping in a Bed or waiting by a Campfire will not make them grow faster.[13]

After two in-game days, the crops at the School's Field will be ready to harvest. When Link returns to the Field, Uma will greet him.[14] She thanks him for being patient, pointing out how delicious the newly grown crops look.[15] Uma encourages Link to do whatever he wants with his produce, and she tells him to inform her when he wants to grow something new.[16] Following their conversation, "Uma's Garden" will be completed.

Space is limited, so you can't plant an entire farm back there, but use what we have to cultivate whatever you'd like. Uma typically tends the field. 4. "Hello there! Well, well. I wondered when you'd be by. Symin said we should ask you what to plant in this here plot. You know, as thanks for helpin' out with the school. You showed up just when I was finishing the prep work for it." — Uma (Tears of the Kingdom)

  13. "But you have to know, the important part of growing good crops is to take your time raising them. You can't expect them to thrive while you kill time at an inn or bonfire. That ain't how things are done. The veggies know. So it'll take a bit before they're ready to harvest, but I'm already gettin' excited!" — Uma (Tears of the Kingdom)
