Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Link can Cook Veggie Cream Soups by combining either a Fortified Pumpkin or any Carrot with Fresh Milk and Rock Salt in a Cooking Pot. Their default version can be made by using multiple Vegetables with contradicting effects. Eating them will heal some of Link's Hearts to his Life Gauge. These Soups are known to showcase the sweetness of Vegetables.[1]
When Link speaks to Koko at her Cooking Pot for the first time, she will explain that she wants to make Veggie Cream Soup for dinner, since she hears it is nourishing and fortifying.[3] She explains the Recipe involves stewing a Swift Carrot, Rock Salt, and Fresh Milk in a pot.[4] However, Koko realizes that she does not have any Swift Carrots, and she laments the fact that she promised Veggie Cream Soup to her sister Cottla.[5] Link can offer to bring her some,[6] which initiates the Side Quest "Koko's Kitchen". If Link brings Koko a Swift Carrot, Koko will be thankful and proceeds to make Veggie Cream Soup.[7] As a reward, she will give Link Hasty Veggie Cream Soup.[8]
Three different variations of Veggie Cream Soup can be made, depending on the type of Vegetable used:
- Enduring Veggie Cream Soup:[9] Made by using Endura Carrots. When eaten, these soups will completely restore and overfill Link's Stamina Wheel.[9]
- Hasty Veggie Cream Soup:[10] Made by using Swift Carrots. They can be eaten to provide a boost to Link's movement speed.[10]
- Tough Veggie Cream Soup:[11] Made by using Fortified Pumpkins. If eaten, they'll increase Link's defense.[11]
Tears of the Kingdom
Veggie Cream Soup can be made by Cooking Fresh Milk and a piece of Rock Salt with any type of Carrot or Pumpkin.
