Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
A Wind Gust is a strong horizontal Wind. Wind Gusts help Fire spread faster and change the direction of things meant to catch Wind, such as the Paraglider and Sails.
Tears of the Kingdom
Wind Gusts occur in areas where the Wind flows heavily in a horizontal manner. After uniting with Tulin, Link can use Tulin's Power of Wind to generate temporary Wind Gusts.
Echoes of Wisdom
Wind Gusts appear from certain Objects and from rock walls. They blow Wind in a singular direction, but can be blocked by heavy Objects. Wind Gusts can be used to put out Fires. Wind Gusts in Eldin Volcano Trail set Princess Zelda on Fire when walked through. They cannot be Learned as an Echo.
