Template:Character Gorman is the middle brother of the Gorman Brothers and is the leader of the Gorman Troupe,[1] a traveling group of performers scheduled to perform at the Carnival of Time, in Majora's Mask.[2] He also appears in The Minish Cap, in a tiny role as a small-time proprietor of the two future houses of Din, Nayru, or Farore in Hyrule Castle Town.

Appearances and Biography

Majora's Mask

Gorman at the Milk Bar

In Majora's Mask, Gorman has two brothers that run a racing track near Milk Road. On the night of the second day, Gorman is seen playing cards with the Twin Jugglers, and informs that he will leave town together with the troupe since he can't expect anyone to attend their show anyway.[3] Gorman shows to be more kind-hearted and benevolent than his brothers, despite seeming a bit frightful and rude when Link first talks to him.

When he visits Madame Aroma in Majora's Mask, he is devastated to learn the Carnival will be canceled, due to the impending Moon disaster and the leader of The Indigo-Go's, Lulu, losing her voice.[4][5] He spends the rest of his time drowning his sorrows at the Milk Bar without informing the rest of the troupe that their acts have been called off.[6]

After finding out about their canceled performance, Gorman begins to regret his decision of abandoning farm life in order to enter the world of show business. He left his brothers and the ranch since he couldn't handle horses like his older brother, and couldn't take care of horses like his younger brother;[7] however, he now realizes he quit the ranch life for nothing.[8]

Gorman becomes cheery after Link gets up on stage and plays the Ballad of the Wind Fish as a Hylian, Deku, Zora, and Goron. Gorman is brought to tears, for it was that same song that he had heard at the Carnival of Time long ago and motivated him to enter the show business and have a chance to meet the singers of the Ballad of the Wind Fish.[9] He apologizes for booing to Link and gives him the Circus Leader's Mask.

Gorman's equivalent character from Ocarina of Time is Ingo.

After finding a tenant to his existing house, Gorman will have Mutoh and the carpenters construct a new house. Link can choose between Din, Farore, or Nayru for both houses. The girls that move into Gorman's properties will prepare for Link their respective Charms. Though Gorman mentions a possible third house, it doesn't come to fruition. This means that Link must choose which two of the three girls he will help, and will only have access to these two charms. Gorman disappears when Vaati takes over Hyrule Castle.

He is the author of the book Gorman's Guide to Good Grub.
