Hard Sediment,[1] also known as Rocks,[2] are recurring Objects in The Legend of Zelda series. Hard Sediments go unnamed in The Minish Cap.

Location and Uses

The Minish Cap

Hard Sediment appears in Secret Caves and the Palace of Winds. It requires the Mole Mitts to destroy.

Tears of the Kingdom

In Tears of the Kingdom, Hard Sediment appears all over the world, primarily in Caves. It has three variants: blue, black, and luminous. The black variant appears on the Surface, in the Depths, and in Caves. The blue variant is located solely in Caves, and the luminous variant appears in the Sky as well as in Caves. The luminous variant yields Luminous Stones when broken, and the others give Rusty Gear and Ores. All Hard Sediment obstructs Link's movement, although sometimes it is located within a wall already. Once a piece of Hard Sediment is broken, it will not respawn. Hard Sediment is a subcategory of Sediment, which also includes a brown variant found much more often.
