Agahnim's Shadow is a Boss in Link's Awakening.(LA)[1] Agahnim's Shadow goes unnamed in Link's Awakening DX and Link's Awakening for Nintendo Switch.

Characteristics

Agahnim's Shadow is a Shadow Nightmare in the form of Agahnim from A Link to the Past. Like its A Link to the Past counterpart, it fires fireballs that can be reflected back at it in a Dead Man's Volley to damage it.[1] Agahnim's Shadow's fireballs can also be reflected with the Shovel or, in Link's Awakening for Nintendo Switch, the Fairy Bottle.[2] The Shadow can also fire magical projectiles that split apart on impact, which cannot be reflected back. Once it has been defeated, it shifts into the form of Moldorm's Shadow.

Link meets Agahnim's Shadow in the final scenes of this game, and he'll use much the same defensive maneuvers against it. As Agahnim's Shadow appears, casts spells and disappears, Link must, reflect the spells back at the dark figure. He can use the sword to strike the spell and send it back, but it's easier to deflect it using the Shovel. When the spells reach Agahnim's Shadow, they do all the damage to it that was intended for Link." (The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening—Nintendo Player's Guide, Nintendo of America, pg. 112)
