Template:Dungeon Kaam Ya'tak Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name Trial of Power,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine

The Kaam Ya'tak Shrine is located at the southern base of Mount Daphnes in Hyrule Field. When Link enters the Ancient Shrine, he is greeted by Kaam Ya'tak, the Monk who designed the eponymous Ancient Shrine.[2]

Themes and Navigation

The Shrine contains several Ball-centric Puzzles that Link can solve in a number of ways, including using Magnesis to move the balls out of the way or Stasis to stop them from rolling. Within the Shrine, Link will also encounter platforms that quickly rotate if any weight is placed on them; however, these can also be made temporarily immobile via the Stasis Rune. Barrels with simple Materials like Apples and Hylian Shrooms can be found throughout the Shrine.

Many different types of puzzles are present in the Shrine. Trails of red leaves can be found, with hanging Lanterns and Torches available if Link does not have Fire at his disposal. A Gyros, which controls a hammer that can propel a metallic ball which in turn pushes a stone ball. Switchs are also used to catapult a stone ball across a chasm and onto a much larger rotating platform. As well as lower a gate, making it possible for Link to smash another stone object with the use of Stasis into large doors.

Kaam Ya'tak awaits Link at the top of a platform in the Shrine's back end. Upon approaching Kaam Ya'tak, the Monk will present Link a Spirit Orb for completing the Trial,[3] and will wish Link well before fading away.[4]

A Treasure Chest inside contains an Edge of Duality. A second Treasure Chest contains a Knight's Broadsword. A third Treasure Chest found near the Gyros contains an Ancient Core. A fourth Treasure Chest found near the end contains a Silver Rupee, valued at 100 Rupees. A fifth Treasure Chest, located directly beneath Kaam Ya'tak, contains a Diamond.
