The Traveler's Shield is a simple, mid-grade shield. They are made from wood, and are therefore flammable and not magnetic. When dropped into water, Traveler's Shields will float. There are a couple of places to find one, most notably at enemy camps on the beaches surrounding Hyrule Field or at Selmie's Spot as a reward.
Lore
Traveler's Shields are commonly used by travelers for protection against weak monsters and Creatures.[1] They belong to the Traveler's archetype of equipment, which are all said to be used to defend travelers throughout Hyrule. The Traveler's Shield is also a part of an unnamed set of equipment used by Link in promotional media, alongside a Soldier's Broadsword and a Traveler's Bow.
