"A Picture for Dueling Peaks Stable" is a Side Quest in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]

Overview

When Link inspects the Empty Frame at Dueling Peaks Stable, its owner Tasseren will take note of him.[2] He explains that it was given to him by the Stable Association so that he can display a Picture for his patrons.[3][4] Tasseren wants to decorate it with a scene depicting the sunrise, as seen from the summit of Tuft Mountain.[5] While he is unable to see the view for himself, Tasseren claims he would be able to paint it if he saw it.[6] Afterwards, "A Picture for Dueling Peaks Stable" will begin.

From Tuft Mountain, Link will be able to use his Camera to take a Picture of the sunrise, which he can then show to Tasseren.[7] Upon seeing the Picture, Tasseren is amazed and asks for permission to copy it.[8][9] If Link agrees, Tasseren thanks him for bringing the Picture[10] He then proceeds to recreate the Picture for himself, promising he is talented enough to do so.[11] Once the Picture of Hyrule's Finest Sunrise is complete, Tasseren declares that it is perfect.[12]

Tasseren informs Link that he is willing to replace it with another Picture of Hyrule's Finest Sunrise if he is provided with another reference.[13] He then rewards Link will one Pony Point.[14] In addition to this, he gives Link a Hasty Apple Pie, which is a specialty of Dueling Peaks Stable.[15] Tasseren once again thanks Link for the Picture, inviting him to visit the Stable whenever he wants to.[16] Following their conversation, "A Picture for Dueling Peaks Stable" will be finished.

  4. We stable owners are going to be putting paintings on display for everyone to enjoy. The Stable Association figured it'd be a good idea for us to hang the frames first to get ready. — Tasseren (Tears of the Kingdom)
  5. Quite the frame, isn't it? I want to fill it with an appropriately grand scene of natural splendor, but, well... Tell me, Link, do you know where to find Hyrule's most beautiful sunrise? At the edge of the sea southeast of here is a small fishing village called Lurelin. It has a reputation as a resort town. But its real claim to fame is the beautiful moment where the sun rises over the horizon and lights up the whole village! And they say the most breathtaking view of this sunrise is from the summit of Tuft Mountain... — Tasseren (Tears of the Kingdom)
  6. I'd love to see that view myself, but it's so far away, and I can't just leave work... Nor can I climb mountains. If only I could see Hyrule's finest sunrise, I'd paint my own picture of it and finally put that frame to use. — Tasseren (Tears of the Kingdom)
  7. [See for yourself.] Huh? Do you have a picture of Hyrule's finest sunrise? Can I see it? — Tasseren (Tears of the Kingdom)

  11. Now, just give me a moment to whip up a reproduction. Haha, don't worry! I'm quite good at this, I promise. — Tasseren (Tears of the Kingdom)
  12. I knew it! It's perfect for this stable! And it's all thanks to you, Link. Doesn't it look spectacular? It wasn't the easiest painting I've ever done, but what a view! — Tasseren (Tears of the Kingdom)
  13. If you can top that with another picture of Hyrule's finest sunrise, I'm happy to copy and frame a new one. So if you're every struck by the urge to replace the picture, don't be shy about showing me something new! — Tasseren (Tears of the Kingdom)
  14. To show my appreciation, I'm giving you one Pony Point. — Tasseren (Tears of the Kingdom)
