The Cold Pool is a large pool of Cold Water located inside Talonto Peak Cave in the Hebra Mountains. It is surrounded by Icy walls, and has a wooden Raft in the Water at its northern edge. It is thought to have formed as a result of the Blizzard affecting the Hebra Region.[2] During the "Crossing the Cold Pool" Side Quest, Verla explains that he came to the Cave to forage the large population of Chillshrooms growing in it, but found the Cold Pool blocking the path to them and could not cross it due to his injured wing.[3] Link can retrieve the Chillshrooms for him by crossing the Pool.

  3. What a disaster. I came all this way to scrounge mushrooms, and now this. I'll never get to the deep parts of the cave with a messed-up wing. Chillshrooms grow all over this cave, so I figured it'd be a prime spot for scavenging a little food. But cold water has built up in here now, and I can't pick any chillshrooms without crossing it. — Verla (Tears of the Kingdom)
