Descriptionshide ▲
Flamebreaker Set
This armor is made by Goron craftsmen to protect Hylian tourists from the heat of Goron City. It is made primarily of stone.

The Fireproof Armor consists of the Flamebreaker Helm, Flamebreaker Armor, and Flamebreaker Boots. All three pieces can be bought at Ripped and Shredded armor shop in Goron City, though a Flamebreaker Armor is awarded from completing the "Fireproof Lizard Roundup" Side Quest. Each piece grants protection from volcanic temperatures, similar to Fireproof Elixirs. If all three pieces of the set have been upgraded twice at a Great Fairy Fountain, wearing the set grants Link complete immunity to being set on fire.

Confusingly, the trait on the armor pieces that protects against scorching climates is called Flame Guard, while the set bonus granting protection from burning is called Fireproof.

  1. Hey. You doin' some work in the caves? Back when Death Mountain was active, this area had tons of lava. Flame-resistant equipment was really popular at that time. Nowadays, the only folks who buy the stuff are Hylians or lava lovers who work in the caves for YunoboCo. So that's why I'm selling it dirt cheap. You'll buy that? It'll be 700 rupees. — Rogaro (Tears of the Kingdom)
