Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Natural Hiding Spots are a type of Korok Seed Puzzle found throughout Hyrule. They come in five common forms: Rocks in the Open, under large stone slabs, Rocks under Boulders, behind Cracked Walls, and Rocks under Leaves.[1] The most common of the six are Rocks in the Open, where all Link needs to do is lift the Rock. The large stone slabs and Boulders must be moved out of the way through use of Stasis or Octo Balloons to reveal the Rock. Rocks hidden under a Pile of Leaves must be burned out using Fire, revealing the Rock afterwards. Natural Hiding Spot Rocks can also be found behind Cracked Walls, which Link must destroy using a Remote Bomb. Another type of Natural Hiding Spot involves picking up Items that are out of place.[1] When any of these Puzzles are completed, a Korok will appear and give Link a Korok Seed.[2]
Tears of the Kingdom
Natural Hiding Spots are Korok Seed Puzzles in Tears of the Kingdom. They come in five different forms: Rocks in the Open, Rocks in Ice Blocks, Rocks under Boulders, a Rock under Bramble, and Rocks under Leaves.[3] Whenever Link picks up a Rock that is part of one of these Puzzles, a Korok will appear to give him a Korok Seed.[4]
