Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Link can make Salt-Grilled Meats by Cooking either Raw Meat or a Raw Bird Drumstick with Rock Salt in a Cooking Pot. By eating them, some of Link's Hearts can be restored to his Life Gauge. These meals are known to be easily made when one is short on ingredients, since preparing them only require the meat to be rubbed in salt.[1]

Additional ingredients can be used when making Salt-Grilled Meats, which results in the following variations:

  • Hearty Salt-Grilled Meat:[2] Made by adding hearty ingredients. These meals will heal all of Link's Hearts and grant him temporary Hearts when they're eaten.[2]
  • Energizing Salt-Grilled Meat:[3] Made by adding energizing ingredients. When eaten, they will partially refill Link's Stamina Wheel.[3]
  • Enduring Salt-Grilled Meat:[4] Made by adding enduring ingredients. Link's Stamina Wheel will be completely restored and overfilled if he eats them.[4]
  • Hasty Salt-Grilled Meat:[5] Made by adding hasty ingredients. If they're consumed, Link's movement speed will be increased.[5]
  • Spicy Salt-Grilled Meat:[6] Made by adding spicy ingredients. When eaten, they will grant Link one level of Cold Resistance.[6]
  • Electro Salt-Grilled Meat:[7] Made by adding electric ingredients. These meats can be eaten for Link to gain one level of Shock Resistance.[7]
  • Mighty Salt-Grilled Meat:[8] Made by adding mighty ingredients. By eating them, the power of Link's attacks will be increased.[8]
  • Tough Salt-Grilled Meat:[9] Made by adding tough ingredients. Link can eat them to receive a boost to his defensive abilities.[9]
  • Sneaky Salt-Grilled Meat:[10] Made by adding sneaky ingredients. When they're eaten, they will grant Link a boost to his Stealth abilities.[10]
  • Chilly Salt-Grilled Meat:[11] Made by adding chilly ingredients. They can be eaten to grant Link one level of Heat Resistance.[11]
