Salt-Grilled Crab

From Zelda Wiki, the Zelda encyclopedia

Salt-Grilled Crabs are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Link can make Salt-Grilled Crabs by Cooking any Crab together with Rock Salt in a Cooking Pot. There are two ways to make their default version. First, Link must use two different types of Crabs. Alternatively, another ingredient can be added to the Meal with an effect that differs from the Crab used. Eating these dishes will restore some of Link's Hearts to his Life Gauge. A majority of fishermen enjoy Crabs most when they are prepared in this way.[1]

Based on the type of crab used, Link can make the three following variations of Salt-Grilled Crab:

  • Mighty Salt-Grilled Crab:[5] Made by using Razorclaw Crabs. When consumed, they will grant Link a boost to the power of his attacks.[5]
  • Tough Salt-Grilled Crab:[6] Made by using Ironshell Crabs. Link's defensive abilities will be boosted by eating these meals.[6]

Tears of the Kingdom

Salt-Grilled Crab returns from Breath of the Wild. It can be made using the same Recipe, which involves Cooking any type of Crab with Rock Salt.
