Crab Risotto
Crab Risottos are recurring Meals in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]
Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Crab Risottos are made in Cooking Pots using Hylian Rice, Goat Butter, Rock Salt, and any type of Crab in Breath of the Wild. Regular Crab Risotto can only be made by either using two different types of Crabs or by using a fifth ingredient with a contradictory effect. Eating one will restore six Hearts to Link's Life Gauge, but they can also be sold for 70 Rupees. They're known to be a staple of seaside villages, and the secret to their delicious flavor comes from Crab fat.[1]
Due to the three different types of Crabs available, there are three variations of Crab Risotto:
- Energizing Crab Risotto:[3] Made using a Bright-Eyed Crab. When eaten, they'll refill a portion of Link's Stamina Wheel.[3] They also heal four of his Hearts, but they sell for 50 Rupees.
- Mighty Crab Risotto:[4] Made using a Razorclaw Crab. If eaten, Link's attacks will be more powerful.[4] They also heal seven Hearts in his Life Gauge, and are worth 40 Rupees when sold.
- Tough Crab Risotto:[5] Made using an Ironshell Crab. Consuming one will temporarily boost Link's defensive abilities.[5] In addition, they heal four Hearts and sell for 40 Rupees.
Tears of the Kingdom
Crab Risottos are made in Cooking Pots or Portable Pots using Hylian Rice, Goat Butter, Rock Salt, and any type of Crab in Tears of the Kingdom. They are identical to their Breath of the Wild incarnation. When eaten, they will restore Hearts to Link's Life Gauge, or they can be sold for Rupees.[how many?] Crab Risottos are the eighty-third entry in the Recipe Book.
