Silver Lynel

Silver Lynels are recurring Enemies in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]
Characteristics
Breath of the Wild
Hyrule Compendium Entry
Silver Lynels are a variant of Lynel under the influence of Calamity Ganon's dark magic, resulting in their status as the strongest of the Lynels.[4] They are also known to be rare, and they stand out because of their purple stripes.[4] Like White-Maned Lynels, Silver Lynels carry around the "Savage" set of Lynel Gear, though their Weapons tend to possess various bonuses. As Lynels, they are resistant to elemental attacks.[5]
Silver Lynels will often refrain from attacking for a short period of time after spotting Link, instead opting to stare at him. Using the Lynel Mask or Majora's Mask, Link can temporarily disguise himself, though they will eventually see through it and attack.[6][7] They start their battles by roaring loudly and slamming their Weapons to the ground, which causes an explosion of Fire. When defeated, Silver Lynels drop Lynel Horns, Lynel Hooves, Lynel Guts, Topazes, Rubies, Sapphires, Diamonds, and Star Fragments.

Trivia
- While White-Maned Lynels can perform their "fire dome" attack regardless of their Weapon type in both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, only Silver Lynels wielding One-Handed Weapons can use this attack in Tears of the Kingdom. The "special attack" parameters for Silver Lynels that use Two-Handed Weapons or Spears match those of regular Lynels and Blue-Maned Lynels, restricting them to just their fireball attack.

Silver Lynels are not to be trifled with. They have been influenced by Ganon's fiendish magic, so they are the strongest among the Lynel species, surpassing even the strength of those with white manes. The term "silver" denotes not only their color but also their rarity. The purple stripes help them to stand out even more.

These fearsome monsters have lived in Hyrule since ancient times. They possess intense intelligence, resilience, and strength, making them among the most dangerous monsters in all the land. This is compounded by the fact that they have a natural resistance to all elements. You would be wise to challenge a Lynel only if you're very well prepared.
