The North Hyrule Plain Cave is a location in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]

Features and Overview

North Hyrule Plain Cave is located beneath North Hyrule Plain. Its primary entrance overlooks the Regencia River, while a secondary entrance can be found as a Hole northeast of New Serenne Stable. Gladis stands in front of the eastern entrance and informs Link that they are there because Koltin asked them to retrieve Bubbul Gems from Bubbulfrogs.[2]

The North Hyrule Plain Cave is a rising tunnel covered with Wet Wall. The entrance descends into a room with a pool of Water fed by two Waterfalls surrounding a rock overhang. By Ascending onto this rock, Link can access the next level of the Cave. This level splits into a ramp on the western side of the tunnel and a river on the eastern side. The river is fed by a third Waterfall. Beyond this Waterfall, the walking path and the river switch sides, with a natural bridge across the river between another Waterfall.

The palanquin holding Misko's treasure

The right-hand-side pathway leads up into the final chamber of the Cave where a Bubbulfrog and an exit in the ceiling can be found while a fifth Waterfall along the river hides a chamber with a palanquin placed by Misko. The chamber hidden by the fifth Waterfall is visible thanks to the Brightcaps that grow around its entrance. The final chamber is home to a Bubbulfrog, a natural spring in the wall, and a skylight exit in the ceiling of the Cave.

"[What's a Bubbulfrog?] WAAAH! Don't scare me like that! My poor heart can't take it! Eh? Are you by chance looking for Bubbulfrogs too?" — Gladis (Tears of the Kingdom)
"[That's right.] Aha! I knew it! They must have asked you too. Supposedly, there are creatures called Bubbulfrogs that live in caves. They're bluish and whitish and stick to walls. Odd stuff. And those two folks at Woodland Stable in northeast Eldin—curious pair, very strange, maybe a little off... They're looking for something the Bubbulfrogs drop. They asked me to do the collecting. So. Did they ask you too? They offered treasure in exchange. Good treasure! It was a sweet deal. At least, it would have been... But I don't know the first thing about cave creatures. That treasure was awful appealing though..." — Gladis (Tears of the Kingdom)
