Template:HappyMask

Appearances

Ocarina of Time

In Ocarina of Time, the Bunny Hood is borrowed from the Happy Mask Shop as part of the Mask Trading Sequence. It can be sold to the Running Man that jogs in a set route around Lon Lon Ranch. The Running Man notices Link wearing the Bunny Hood and becomes interested in it.[1] Link can then sell him the mask for an amount of Rupees that will fill up his wallet.[2]

When worn, it prevents Stalchildren from appearing in Hyrule Field at night.

Majora's Mask

File:Bunnyhood.png

In Majora's Mask, the mask increases Link's running speed and allows him to jump farther when worn. A second, minor function of the mask is to let an on-screen timer be displayed during the Postman's "count to 10 seconds" minigame to aid Link in stopping right at 10 seconds. It is given to Link by Grog in the Cucco Shack in Romani Ranch.[3] Grog laments how he wishes he could see the Cucco chicks he watches over grow into adults, but since the Moon will be falling in three days, he no longer has the time.[4] If Link equips the Bremen Mask and begins marching around the Shack, the chicks will follow him as he walks in their proximity. If Link stops his march, all of the chicks will disband. Once Link has all 10 chicks following him, they will all turn into adult Cuccos. Grog is amazed and thanks Link by giving him the Bunny Hood.[3]

The Wind Waker

The Bunny Hood makes a cameo in the Nintendo Gallery on the wall behind Carlov. A hood similar to the Bunny Hood is also worn by Maggie after she is saved from the Forsaken Fortress.

Non-Canon appearances

Ocarina of Time Manga

In the child chapters of the Template:Manga, Link and Princess Zelda borrow the Bunny Hood and the Mask of Truth in the Happy Mask Shop.

Super Smash Bros. Series

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, the Bunny Hood appears as an item that gives the fighter wearing it faster speed and a higher jump. It also appears as a Trophy in Melee, Brawl, and the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U games.

Game Image Description How to Unlock
Super Smash Bros. Melee File:Bunny Hood Trophy.png Don the Bunny Hood to improve your agility drastically, allowing you to jump great distances and move at high speed. The ears are a cute accessory: they're even adorable on characters they don't quite suit. The Bunny Hood was key in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, where it made Link move at one-and-a-half times his normal speed. Get a combined total of 125 combos for all characters in Training Mode
Super Smash Bros. Brawl File:Bunny Hood Trophy (SSBB).png Headgear that hugely improves your jump and movement abilities. True to its name, the hood comes with a pair of cute, fuzzy ears. On the right characters, they're as cute as can be, but on the wrong ones, they're...scary. Of course, that adds to the item's charm. The sudden speed increase you get is responsible for more than a few self-destructs, so be careful. Random
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U This hood is beloved by a man with a passion for nature who longed to emulate a long-lost breed of bunny. Wearing this hood, he gained impressive leg power that allowed him to run for days on end. If you don this hood, you'll leave your foes in the dust with enhanced speed and jump power. Random
