Twinmold's Remains are an Item in Majora's Mask.[1]

Location and Uses

Twinmold are the giant masked insect Bosses of Stone Tower Temple.[1] When Link cleanses the Stone Tower Temple for the first time and acquires Twinmold's Remains, the final Guardian Deity is freed and meets Link in the Chamber of Giants,[2] where the Giants agree to help Link and Tatl but ask them to forgive Skull Kid.[3] The Remains allow Link to Warp directly to the Boss room from the Temple's entrance.[4] In Majora's Mask 3D, Twinmold's Remains are not required for this; simply challenging Twinmold once will activate the Portal so Link can try again without having to go back through the Dungeon.

Twinmold's Remains are worn by one of the Moon Children. They can also be seen hanging on one of the walls of the Boss chamber inside the Moon during the battle against Majora's Mask. The Remains eventually detach from the wall and attack Link by shooting energy at him. They can be destroyed with any weapon.

Trivia

  • The icon for Twinmold's Remains in Majora's Mask 3D uses Twinmold's red-eyed appearance from that game; however, the smaller icon seen on the file selection screen retains its green-eyed appearance from Majora's Mask.
