Hard Sediments,[1] also known as Rocks,[2] are recurring Objects in The Legend of Zelda series. Hard Sediments go unnamed in The Minish Cap.

Hard Sediments appear in Secret Caves and the Palace of Winds. They require the Mole Mitts to destroy.

Tears of the Kingdom

In Tears of the Kingdom, Hard Sediments appear all over the world, primarily in Caves. It has four variants: brown, blue, black, and luminous. The brown and black variants appear on the Surface, in the Depths, and in Caves. The blue variant is located solely in Caves, and the luminous variant appears in the Sky as well as in Caves. The luminous variant yields Luminous Stones when broken, and the others give Rusty Gear and Ores. All Hard Sediments obstruct Link's movement, although sometimes it is located within a wall already. Once a piece of Hard Sediment is broken, it will not respawn.
