Crab
Template:Cleanup Crabs appear as enemies in A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, and as non violent animals in The Wind Waker, as well as in Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland.
Sand Crab
Sand Crabs are very rare creatures that often roam the watery areas of Hyrule in A Link to the Past. Any means of attacks can defeat these easily, but a good choice is to pull out the Ice Rod and blast them with a chill, rendering them helpless.
In Link's Awakening, Sand Crabs live on the beaches of Koholint Island, and they are no problem at all. These little monsters can be taken out by a few swipes of the sword.
In Oracle of Ages, Sand Crabs are found on Crescent Island, in the Southeast Corner of Labrynna. They are easily defeated, and are attracted to the Scent Seed. They typically appear in groups of two or more in small places of the beach, where there is not much room to navigate around them, causing Link to take some damage if he tries to pass by them. In Oracle of Seasons, Sand Crabs are found on the Western Coast, near Horon Village.
Crab
In The Wind Waker, crabs are small, helpless creatures that are found near the water at islands across the Great Sea, usually on sand but sometimes grass. They are the smallest creatures in the game, and as such, are harmless to anyone. They disappear into the ground if anyone gets too close, but they will eventually return to the surface once the threat is gone.
In Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland there are four kinds of crabs. At the Sunshine Seashore, the aggressive Red Crab can be found, as well as the Rock Crab. Only get Minced Meat and Marine Gem are received from the Red Crab, for the Rock Crab does not yield any items. The Blue Crab is also aggressive and can be found at Cape Treasure and Lon Lon Meadow. The Ground Shell and Marine Stone are obtained once defeated. The Fairy Garden is the habitat for the coward Purple Crab, but it is unknown what can be obtained once it is eliminated.
