For the ability in The Minish Cap, see Kinstone Fusion.

Fuse is an ability in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]

Overview

Fuse is an ability that allows Link to bond any Items or Objects with his equipped weapon or shield.

Weapons can be Fused with other Weapons or Objects to increase their attack power, reach, or to provide them with additional abilities. For example, Weapons that are Fused with broad, flat Objects may generate gusts of wind, and fusing a weapon with a Ruby will grant it the ability to shoot fireballs. Fused Weapons will also have increased durability.[2] As most weapons in Hyrule have been weakened by Gloom, Fuse is necessary to strengthen them in order to fight stronger enemies. A Fused weapon will act like a standard weapon of the base weapon's type and retain any bonuses and passive abilities it possesses, regardless of the weapon that it was fused with.

Arrows can be Fused with Materials to imbue them with special effects. For example, Keese Eyeballs that are Fused with Arrows can home in on Enemies and Creatures with imprecise aim, and Arrows Fused with icy Materials such as White Chuchu Jellies can freeze targets upon impact.

Shields can be Fused with Materials to imbue the Material's properties onto the Shield when struck or to increase their durability. For example, Puffshrooms will explode in a puff of smoke if Fused onto a Shield and struck by an Enemy, allowing Link an opportunity to sneak around them.

An item that has been Fused with a weapon or shield can be removed to let the base equipment be fused with something else, but doing so will destroy the fused item in the process. However, the Break-A-Part store at Tarrey Town can do so while preserving the fused item so it can be re-fused with other equipment.
