Octo is a character from A Link Between Worlds.[1]

Biography

Octo can be found at the playing field in central Lorule. It is a friendly Octorok who help runs the Octoball Derby mini-game with the Derby Boy and the Derby Girl. Octo is the pitcher in the mini-game, and uses its mouth to fire balls towards Link as he attempts to hit the ball with a stick. If Link hits Octo with the served ball, it will become angry and immediately fire another ball, giving Link very little time to react.

Octo says that although it may not look like much, it is aiming for the big leagues.[2] To further illustrate this goal, it wears official apparel and seems concerned of how proper it looks in it.[3]
