Mushroom-Themed Outfits,[1] also known as Mushroom-Themed Clothes,[2] or Cece-Brand Clothes,[3] are Objects in Tears of the Kingdom.

Location and Uses

Mushroom-Themed Outfits are outfits that are designed by Cece, and worn by Cece Fans throughout Hyrule.

The outfits are categorized as suits and hats and are seen both worn together or separately. Both suits and hats are made of fabrics with mushroom-patterns, which have a variety of colors, and Cece Fans wear hats whose color matches their suit.

The suits have two types that correspond to the gender of the wearer: a two-piece skirt suit worn by women and a one-piece romper suit worn by men. The skirt suit is similar to Cece’s outfits but does not have the webbed golden neck piece. These two types of suits have common design features, such as puffy sleeves resembling mushrooms and jabots with brooches. The mushroom-shaped earrings are also part of the Mushroom-Themed suit. The color of the earrings Cece Fans and Sophie are wearing matches the mushroom pattern on the suit's fabric, and Cece wears bright green earrings.

The hats are worn by Cece Fans and Hateno villagers. The hats have three shapes and are paired with a bowl cut that is similar to Cece's hair, except for people who have bald heads. Unlike suits, the design of hats does not strictly correspond to the gender of the wearer. The mushroom-patterned fabric is used for the crowns of all three types of hats, and the crowns have white bumps that are similar to the white dots of fly agaric. The brims of the hats are made from a cream-colored material with stripes that resemble the grill of mushrooms.

The Mushroom-Themed Outfits are mentioned in "The Latest Trend" Ancient Tablet as "garnementes adourned with muscheron patrons (garments adorned with mushroom patterns)".[4] In the story, Zelda tells about the Mushroom-Themed Outfits she saw before getting sent to ancient Hyrule to a tailor. The tailor is inspired to recreate the outfits, which become popular among people. The narrator, the Chamberlain herself, also showed her interest in the outfits. After explaining Link the translation of the story, Wortsworth remarks on the similarity between the Mushroom-Themed styles in two distant eras, yet concludes it is coincidental.[5]

Mushroom-Clothing Sculpture

The Mushroom-Clothing Sculpture[6] is a sign put above the entrance of Ventest Clothing Boutique that is a large replica of the Mushroom-Themed two-piece suit without skirt and the wide-brimmed hat.

Cece Hat

Main article: Cece Hat

The Cece Hat is the newest piece of the Cece brand and a limited edition Mushroom-Themed hat.[7][8] When Link enters Ventest Clothing Boutique for the first time, the Cece Hat is displayed in a glass cabinet and stated as only for an exhibiting purpose and not for sale.[9] The popularity of the hat makes the entry ticket to the boutique almost run out.[10] Wearing the Cece Hat makes Cece Fans show their admiration for the hat or their jealousy for Link.[11][12][13]
