Not to be confused with Cyclones or Updrafts.

Tornadoes are recurring Objects in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Location and Uses

The Minish Cap

Tornadoes are three large vortexes that appear at Veil Springs, atop the Cloud Tops, and inside the Palace of Winds. They propel Link upwards into the Sky, allowing him to reach the Cloud Tops, the Palace of Winds, and the Gyorg Pair respectively.

The Crimson Cyclones that appear in the Cloud Tops function identically to Tornadoes in that they launch Link upwards into a new area, but they are smaller and take the appearance of red Updrafts.

Other Appearances

Zelda's Adventure

Tornadoes are objects that appear early in the Shrine of Air, appearing as small moving twisters that wander aimlessly. Unlike most obstacles, they cannot be dispatched with the Wand, and can only be quelled by casting the Spell of Calm.[1] Tornadoes take three hits of the Calm Spell's projectiles before they recede.
