Description |
Common Locations | |
Properties |
Royal Guard's Swords are Weapons that are part of the Royal Guard's Series.[4] They are replicas of the Master Sword made with Sheikah Ancient Technology to oppose the Great Calamity, but they were unsuccessful due to their low durability.[1] They are commonly found in Hyrule Castle, both scattered about and being wielded by Enemies.
The Royal Guard's Sword is one of several Items of the Royal Guard's Series that can be given to Parcy to complete "The Royal Guard's Gear" Side Quest.[5][6] As a reward for completing the quest, Parcy will give Link a Gold Rupee.[7] Afterwards, whenever Link speaks to Parcy while carrying a Royal Guard's Sword, she will ask for it in exchange for a Ruby.[8]
Since they are metallic, Royal Guard's Swords will attract Lightning if equipped during a Thunderstorm, and they are also capable of conducting Electricity. They can be picked up using the Magnesis Basic Rune, which is useful since they will sink in Water. Finally, Royal Guard's Swords will not burn if exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate.

Have you gone to the giant castle north of here? That's Hyrule Castle. It's said to have fallen to ruin over a hundred years ago. I used to sneak in there to salvage ancient treasures, but it's too dangerous to go in there now. These days it's surrounded by an eerie mist and savage machine-like creatures. Back when it was safer, I went in looking for this ultra-rare equipment that once belonged to the royal guard. It's legendary among collectors, but I was never able to find any...

Hey, that sword... Will you trade it for a ruby?
