Ancient Soldier Gear
The Ancient Soldier Gear is a recurring set of Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]
Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Ancient Soldier Gear was created as a result of extensive research done by Robbie into the technology of the ancient Sheikah that was used to create the Guardians. It is distinguished by possessing glowing blue blades that vanish when the weapons are stored and appear when they are drawn, which possess much higher cutting and piercing power than metal blades.[2][3][4]
Ancient Soldier Gear is produced from the Ancient Oven in the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab, which was created by Robbie for this purpose.[5] However, this function is not accessible at first due to the furnace that powers the oven having become spent, and can only be done after the furnace is reignited with Blue Flame.[6][7] Once this is done, Rupees and Guardian parts can be exchanged at the Oven for Ancient Soldier weapons, bows, and shields, in addition to parts of the Ancient Set of armor.[8]
Ancient Soldier Gear is made out of non-metallic components that do not burn, attract lightning, or float in water, and which cannot be manipulated through Magnesis.
