The Blacksmith's Forge,(ALBW)[1] also known as the Smithery,(ALttP)[2] is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.

Features and Overview

A Link to the Past

In A Link to the Past, the Smithery is located in Hyrule, between Hyrule Castle and Kakariko Village. When Link first arrives, he finds only one of the Dwarven Swordsmiths. As his partner has gone missing, he cannot help Link forge his Sword.[3] Once Link returns the missing Dwarven Swordsmith from the Dark World, they will temper the Master Sword into the Tempered Sword.[4]

A Link Between Worlds

In A Link Between Worlds, the Blacksmith's Forge can be found in both Hyrule and Lorule. Hyrule's forge is home to the Blacksmith, his wife, and their son Gulley. It is also the place of employment for Link.[5][6] The Forgotten Sword can be obtained in the Blacksmith's Forge at the beginning of the game.[7][8] Link can also upgrade the Master Sword in the forge upon collecting one of the two Master Ores. The Master Sword can be further upgraded at Lorule's Blacksmith's Forge after obtaining the second Master Ore.[9]
